Dear Industry
Colleagues |
Welcome to another edition of
award winning 'Creatively
Yours'. The rain God’s have
been a bit over-active in India
this year. Some parts of India
have seen much higher levels of
rain than normal, so that bring
its own challenges. Overall, the
rains are good for oru crops and
water levels across the country.
Good rains mean a good year for
the Indian economy.
There has been a very
significant change in the Indian
economy this month that will
affect all buyers of Indian
tourism –
the much awaited and highly
political GST Bill was passed by
the Parliament. The Goods and
Services Tax (GST) Bill is the
greatest tax reform since
independence and is slated to
completely overhaul the indirect
taxation system in the country. Read
more about that here.
This will of course impact
the tourism industry as well. We
still do not know which tax slab
we will be placed in or what
benefits the industry may get,
but intense lobbying is going on
by the industry to try and try
to get us into the lowest
taxation bracket possible. What
we can be sure of that tourism
will see a change. We just hope
it is for the better. Read
an article on that here.
We in Team Creative
are also very proud to have been
nominated again for FOUR World
Travel Awards for a sixth year
running. This is a
tremendous honour. We are also
delighted that our specialist
wildlife brand ‘JungleSutra
Wildlife Journeys’ has
been nominated in the category
of India’s Leading Experiential
Holiday Company. This is a great
recognition to the specialist
services this team provides to
our guests. With our previous
wins, we hope you will support
us this year as well. Every vote
helps count towards our success,
for it is only the support from
our friends and partners across
the world that make us what we
are today. Details on how to
vote are below.
Have you been signing
up to hear our webinars? We
have all the sessions recorded
for sharing with anyone who
missed them. The response has
been great and we intend to
extend the subjects and
countries covered over the next
few weeks.
You shall see some new and
exciting initiatives in the next
season from Team Creative. New
experiential inclusions, new
circuits, new concepts... We
take pride in our ability to
make a trip to the Indian
sub-continent something very
different. |
Take care, |
