It’s a wonderful time to be in India. The air is crisp, festivities fill the air, and winter’s gentle touch is spreading across the North. With the rains gone, the hills and jungles are lush and inviting once more. November also marks the grand Indian wedding season, when celebrations light up hotels and palaces across the country. Travelling here now, you’re bound to witness one and perhaps, even be welcomed to join in.

Last month was extraordinary for us, marked by significant recognition. We’re delighted to share that Creative Travel has been shortlisted for the 2026 SITE Crystal Awards for Excellence in Incentive Travel – Asia Pacific. Our nominated program, Viaje Diamantes 2025: India – Maldivas, created for Omnilife, reflects our signature blend of creativity, culture, and meticulous craftsmanship.
The month began with celebrations at the World Travel Awards and the Seven Stars Luxury Hospitality and Lifestyle Awards, and concluded on an inspiring high with our first World Luxury Travel Award for Best Destination Management Company. The ceremony, held on 25th October at the InterContinental Barcelona, saw our Regional Vice President – Europe, Lee Ballard, proudly accept the honour on behalf of the entire Creative family.
These accolades reflect our enduring passion, our partners’ trust, and our team’s commitment to excellence. A heartfelt thank-you to all our friends and collaborators who make every milestone meaningful.
This month, we bring you stories steeped in flavour, philosophy, and a sense of place. In Iconic Things to Eat, we turn the spotlight on the Dosa, the golden, crispy Indian crepe that’s journeyed from humble kitchens to global fame. In Indians Around the World, we pay tribute to Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the People’s President and India’s eternal dreamer, whose life continues to inspire generations to aim higher and dream bigger. Our Cool Location feature transports you to Evolve Back Kamalapura Palace in Hampi, a regal retreat where history and luxury intertwine amidst the ancient stones of a bygone empire. And to wrap things up on a comforting note, our Recipe of the Month features a wholesome Sweet Potato Curry with Spinach & Chickpeas, a heartwarming medley of textures and flavours that nourish both body and soul.

IndiGo to Launch Daily Thiruvananthapuram–Malé Flights from October 26
IndiGo has announced the start of direct daily flights connecting Thiruvananthapuram with Malé, the Maldives, beginning October 26, 2025. With this addition, the Kerala capital becomes the fourth Indian city- after Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Kochi- to enjoy.
India Introduces Digital Arrival Card for Foreign Visitors from October 1
In a major step to modernize its immigration process, the Bureau of Immigration (BOI) will roll out a Digital Arrival Card for foreign nationals entering India, effective 1 October 2025. The move aims to streamline entry procedures and reduce waiting times at immigration counters.Under the new system, foreign travellers will have the option to complete their Disembarkation Card either physically upon arrival or digitally up to 72 hours before reaching India. Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has strengthened its luxury presence in Udaipur with the launch of Taj Lalit Bagh, a 155-key property that seamlessly blends heritage with modern elegance.
IndiGo to Launch Delhi–Manchester Flights from November 15
IndiGo is set to expand its international network with the launch of direct flights between Delhi and Manchester starting November 15, 2025. Operating four times a week, this new route marks the airline’s entry into long-haul operations from Delhi, using the leased Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.The expansion doesn’t stop there. IndiGo will also begin daily flights to Denpasar (Bali) from October 24, and four weekly flights.
IndiGo Connects Mumbai to London Heathrow with Daily Dreamliner Flights from October 26
IndiGo is set to spread its wings further west with the launch of daily non-stop flights between Mumbai and London Heathrow Airport, beginning October 26, 2025. The move marks the airline’s debut at Heathrow, one of the world’s busiest international hubs.

Maldives Becomes First Nation to Enforce Generational Tobacco Ban
The Maldives has become the world’s first country to enforce a generational tobacco ban, prohibiting the sale, purchase, and use of tobacco for anyone born on or after January 1, 2007.
Pugdundee Safaris Introduces Conservation-Focused Homestay in Nepal
Pugdundee Safaris is set to open ‘Red Panda Outpost,’ an eco-tourism homestay near Singalila National Park in Jaubari, Nepal, in early November 2025. Situated at 9,400 feet, this intimate six-room homestay.
