This year marks a monumental milestone for us: 48 years of curating extraordinary travel experiences across South Asia. As a company built on a legacy of passion and vision, we are proud of the countless memories we’ve helped create and remain deeply committed to showcasing the wonders of our region to the world.
2024 was a year of progress and growth. Despite the challenges that our industry continues to face, we celebrated significant achievements—transforming our operations, prioritising sustainable profitability, and remaining steadfast in delivering the exceptional service our partners and guests expect. We added four prestigious awards, taking our tally to 91 global accolades. These achievements are a testament to the dedication and hard work of our team, who strive tirelessly to deliver exceptional travel experiences for our guests. The year ended with our Creative Travel’s Annual Party ‘Milieu’, an incredible celebration of the spirit of the Creative Family. The evening was a beautiful reminder of the connections that fuel our journey and inspire us to achieve even greater heights.
As 2025 unfolds, we are energised to continue innovating, expanding, and inspiring. Starting December 2024, IndiGo will operate four weekly flights connecting Ahmedabad to Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati, Kochi and Kolkata. Ahmedabad to Thiruvananthapuram flight will ply four times a week, while the Ahmedabad-Kochi route will have flights three times a week. Daily flights will connect Ahmedabad with Kolkata and Guwahati.

IndiGo launches new international flights to Dubai, Bangkok, and Bengaluru to Mauritius
IndiGo, India’s largest low-cost carrier, has expanded its international network with new direct flights from Pune to Dubai and Bangkok, as well as from Bengaluru to Mauritius. The Pune-Dubai route will operate daily, while the Pune-Bangkok service will run three times a week.
The reopening of the Toong-Naga Road on December 1, 2024, marks a significant boost for Sikkim's tourism. This vital route links Lachung and Lachen, previously cut off due to landslides. With tourist passes now available, visitors will be able to explore North Sikkim's winter beauty, including snow-covered landscapes and cultural landmarks. The move is expected to rejuvenate the local economy, particularly in the peak travel season. This development promises to enhance the region’s appeal to tourists seeking adventure and natural beauty.
Starting December 1, the Maldives has increased exit fees for international travelers. The fee for departing tourists will rise by approximately 12%, applying to all outbound flights. The new rates aim to enhance revenue for the nation’s tourism infrastructure. The Maldives government confirmed that this adjustment is part of ongoing efforts to maintain the nation's economic stability and bolster the tourism sector, which significantly contributes to its GDP.
Akasa Air launches daily flights from Ahmedabad and Bengaluru to Abu Dhabi
Akasa Air has expanded its international operations with daily flights from Ahmedabad and Bengaluru to Abu Dhabi. This strategic move enhances connectivity between India and the UAE, meeting rising travel demand. The airline aims to provide affordable and convenient travel options, catering to both business and leisure travelers. The expansion underscores Akasa Air's growth ambitions and commitment to serving key international markets, especially in the Middle East. This route will further strengthen the airline’s presence in Abu Dhabi, offering passengers more travel choices.

Air India Express enhances Northeast India connectivity
Air India Express is expanding its flight operations from Guwahati, Agartala, and Imphal to provide greater connectivity for northeastern India. The airline is adding more direct flights, improving access enhancing regional connectivity. These efforts align with the airline's goal to strengthen its domestic network. The increased services are expected to stimulate tourism and economic growth in these regions, making it easier for people to travel.
New immigration check post strengthens cross-border travel at India-Bhutan Border
A new immigration check post has been inaugurated at the India-Bhutan border in Assam, enhancing cross-border travel and security. This initiative aims to improve trade, tourism, and cooperation between the two nations. By providing a streamlined process for both travel and goods, it strengthens the economic and diplomatic ties between India and Bhutan. The check post is set to boost regional growth, making travel more convenient while minimising bureaucratic hurdles. This development represents a significant step toward closer collaboration between the neighbouring countries.
Bhubaneswar Airport Expands Connectivity with Direct Flights to New Cities
In a major boost to Odisha’s air travel infrastructure, Bhubaneswar’s Biju Patnaik International Airport is set to offer direct flights to five additional cities. This expansion will strengthen the state’s connectivity .
Air India Express Adds Mumbai-Varanasi Flights to Its Expanding Network
Air India Express, a key player in India’s aviation sector, has launched direct flights between Mumbai and Varanasi. This new route is part of the airline’s strategic effort to enhance connectivity across the country and cater to the growing demand for efficient air travel options. The service will provide a seamless link between India’s financial capital and the spiritual hub of Varanasi, offering convenience to both business travelers and pilgrims.
Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, in collaboration with Indra Traders, is set to debut the Kandy Myst by Cinnamon in early 2025, marking a new chapter in Sri Lanka’s hospitality scene. Located on the Kandy Katugastota Road, this vibrant hotel offers unparalleled convenience to key attractions and transport hubs in Kandy, making it an ideal choice for both leisure and business travelers.
Rukhad National Park: New destination for wildlife enthusiasts
Rukhad National Park in Madhya Pradesh has emerged as a hidden gem for wildlife enthusiasts, offering some of the best tiger sightings in India with fewer crowds. Situated near Pench National Park, this relatively newer wildlife destination.
India has designated the Guru Ghasidas-Tamor Pingla Tiger Reserve in Chhattisgarh as its 56th tiger reserve. Spanning 2,829 sq km, it includes a core area of 2,049.2 sq km, which covers the Guru Ghasidas National Park and Tamor Pingla Wildlife Sanctuary. The reserve also features a buffer zone of 780.15 sq km, enhancing wildlife conservation and minimising human-wildlife conflict. With four tiger reserves now in the state, Chhattisgarh continues to play a pivotal role in wildlife protection and eco-tourism development. Read more about this development here.
