Welcome to the first 2020 edition of 'Creatively Yours'.
As we start 2020, we stop and ponder on all that happened in the year gone by and wonder what the year ahead holds for us. Everyone has expectations that the new year will bring in a lot more happiness and optimism than the complicated year that has gone by. The past cannot be changed, the future is yet in your power. All we know for sure is that each year paves the way to new hopes and new promises.

For us in the Creative Travel family, 2020 brings in our 44th year of being amongst India’s most respected travel companies. Our family has held strong, true to its mission of showcasing the best our region has to offer. 2019 was a good year for the Creative team. We had a lot going on.
It was also another record-breaking year when it came to winning global accolades. We were certified as a “Great Place to Work” by the global Great Place to Work Institute, the first Indian DMC ever to have received this status. We were proud to have been awarded yet again as "India's Leading Destination Management Company" and also as “India’s Most Experiential Holiday Company” taking our tally to 22 World Travel Awards so far. The World Travel Awards are described by the Wall Street Journal as "the Oscars of the Travel Industry".
We won two more awards at the 2019 South Asian Travel and Tourism Awards (SATA) event in Sri Lanka. Our outbound team ‘Signature Tours’ won its first award for luxury travel. The credit for the 79 global and national recognitions we have won so far goes to the men and women in our team who strive every day to deliver an amazing destination experience to our guests. We are not only proud of them, but also grateful for their support to Ram Kohli’s vision of creating a one of a kind organisation. Also, we would be remiss if we did not recognise that we could not have done all of this without the support and guidance of our friends and family across the world.
Many in the world enter 2020 with uncertainties and concerns. Many are worried on what lies ahead of us. There is no need to. Politics will not change. Natural disasters will continue to happen. Evil people will always be around. One can easily get consumed by looking backwards to the past. It is always better to look at the glass half full.
There are many leaders who still inspire us. Many wonders of nature that delight us. Many good people who make us proud. Many moments of happiness that put a smile on our face. For every bad incident, I am sure we can find many good ones.
Let us make a new year resolution to remain positive that tomorrow will always be better than yesterday. That is the Indian way of taking on life. If there is one thing history has shown, out of every adversity the world has always emerged stronger, smarter and better. We wish one & all the confidence, the strength and the perseverance to take on the new year with gusto and a smile on your face.
