Basic Entry Requirements

    • Must have a Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) and be valid for at least 1 month.
    • Passports with extended validity are not accepted.
  • Travel Itinerary:
    • Provide a complete itinerary including confirmed return tickets and a prepaid booking at a registered hotel.
    • Proof of financial means to support your stay in the Maldives or a pre-approved visa sponsorship from Maldives Immigration is required.
  • Entry Requirements for Next Destination:
    • Ensure you meet the entry requirements for your onward destination, including visa and passport validity.
  • Traveller Declaration:
    • Must be completed and submitted electronically via the IMUGA system within 96 hours before your flight. You can fill out the form here.

While meeting these requirements is necessary, entry is not guaranteed. Immigration officers will make the final determination based on Section 7 and 8 of The Maldives Immigration Act 2007.
