Enjoy!

Experience Delhi: One Morning, Three Religions
India is a melting pot of different cultures, languages and religions, all of which coexist happily together. The whole country celebrates each other’s festivals whether Hindu, Muslim, Christian or Sikh and particularly in the south they can intermingle. It is not uncommon there for Christians to stop and offer a puja at a Hindu temple or for Hindu’s to join their friends at a church festival. Hinduism has many Gods, Sufism and the Sikhs don’t idolise any. It can be confusing, but we have created a tour where we will introduce you briefly to each religion, take you to their place of worship and give you a crash course in the idiosyncrasies of each one.
Visit: Bundi, Rajasthan

Bundi is one of Rajasthan’s best-kept secrets. The palaces and fort have a fairy-tale quality about them and the surrounding hills, temple tank and charming village combine to create a most picturesque location. It has somehow remained off the main tourist circuit and has therefore maintained it’s old world atmosphere and has a hospitality rarely found these days in Rajasthan.

The most striking presence in the town is the magnificent Bundi Garh Palace, which looks imposingly down over the town. Bundi is also famous for its step wells, which were once used to store the rainwater for the long dry season, the most impressive being the Raniji-ki-Baori. Don’t forget to meet the miniature painter who can paint an entire, intricate elephant on your thumb nail!

Stay at: Svatma, Thanjavore
Launched in October 2015, Svatma is south India’s most exciting new hotel. Originally built as an elite family residence, it has been lovingly-restored to combine part heritage and part new build, a successful combination which together with the authentic regional experiences offered, has changed the face of tourism to this area. All 38 suites are unique and influenced by Tamilian culture. There are two restaurants, Aharam an all-day, fine-food restaurant with a unique menu exploring Tamil cuisine, whilst Nila is a terrace dining restaurant for those who want a romantic dinner under the stars. This large and elegant family home is a real gem with plenty of lounge spaces, verandahs, hallways and private chambers for guests to unwind and relax, though its real specialty is in its tasteful promotion of the rich culture of this region. A must visit!
