Sweet Potato

Green or red
chillies - 2
to 3 numbers

Dry red
chillies - 5

Cumin seeds
- 1 tbsp

Garlic - 3

Curry leaves

Onion - 1

Red Chilli
Powder - 1

Mustard
seeds - 1

Salt- as
necessary

Turmeric
powder- 1
tbsp

Sunflower
oil- 2 tbsp

Urid dhal- 3
tbsp
Method
1.
Clean
the sweet
potatoes and
boil them in
a vessel
with water
necessary to
submerge the
potatoes.
Add a pinch
of salt
while
boiling
this.
2.
Allow
it to cool
and peel the
skin of
potatoes and
cut into
small
pieces.
3.
Crush
the cumin
seeds and
garlic
cloves.
4.
Keep
the pan in
stove and
switch it
on. Add
sunflower
oil and then
add mustard
seeds. When
it starts to
splutter,
add curry
leaves, dry
red chillies
and cumin
seeds.
5.
Add
urid dhal
and allow it
to become
light brown
color.
6.
Add
onion and
the crushed
cumin and
garlic clove
mixture. Add
green (or
red) chili
pieces.
7.
Add
salt,
turmeric
powder and
red chili
powder. Now
add the cut
sweet
potatoes
pieces and
mix it
properly
with the
masala.
Allow that
to cook for
2 to 3
minutes.
8.
Mix
it well one
last time,
add
coriander
leaves and
put off the
stove.
